Our new claims handler
I am Tainaïs and since two months I am a claims handler, medical expenses at Anker Crew Insurance. I started my career at a private insurer in 2016. Here I gained experience in the front & back office as well as underwriting, broker support and team leading. With my last position being junior account manager at an international broker.
I was born and raised on one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean; Curacao. After graduating in Business Administration in 2020, I returned to The Netherlands. At this moment I live in one of the most beautiful cities in The Netherlands; Groningen. When searching for a job, I came across Anker Insurance Company.
By using LinkedIn, I got to know more about the company and its employees. For example, you can see that many of my colleagues have been working here for years. That tells me something about Anker Insurance Company as an employer. That it takes good care of its employees. Through several interviews I was able to sense the company’s vibe and found this very pleasant. Now that I work here myself, I can only confirm this.
During the first weeks I received excellent care and guidance from my colleagues, despite Corona. There is a nice ambiance at the office with great coffee and pleasant work areas. The current Corona measures are respected and I am also fully supported in working at home.

In my spare time I like to read. Or watch tennis, especially when Rafael Nadal is playing. I like to travel a lot as soon as it is possible and allowed again. For example to Curacao to spend time with family and friends.
The maritime sector as an insurance business is completely new to me. Fortunately, I am eager to learn and ambitious. The first couple of weeks, I think it’s going to come to me, but I have every confidence in it. I want to grow and not stand still. That is why I made the choice to work for a diverse company like Anker Insurance Company as a claims handler!
