As a crew insurance provider for over 110 years, Anker has provided insurance cover worldwide for crewmembers employed by maritime employers. Anker provides maritime employers with insurance solutions for the consequences of illness, occupational disability, death and accidents.
The services of Anker Crew Insurance are tailored to the requirements of maritime employers and their crewmembers and affiliated maritime employees. Our insurance solutions form part of a full service provision.
Our work is based on the idea that people come first. ‘People matter most’ means that our customers and their crewmembers and affiliated maritime employees are of prime importance. Therefore, no bureaucratic diversions, we promptly come up with practical solutions. Also – or particularly – in cases which are not that easy to solve.
That’s Anker: people matter most!

Maritime origin
Anker’s history starts in 1907, when several shipowners in the north of the Netherlands decided to jointly bear the possible consequences involved in risks. They did so on the basis of trust, involvement and reciprocity; core values which Anker still adheres to.
